California produces almost 90% of the strawberries in the U.S. – with Fresno strawberries being the best flavored and sweetest because of the success of the Chandler variety. The Camarosa variety is also popular because it lasts a little longer in the fridge.

Almost 95% of the strawberries grown in Fresno are raised by farmers from the Hmong and Mien hill tribes of Laos. This new group of small family farmers takes great pride in their crops and continuing their agricultural heritage in their newly adopted home. Fresno strawberry farmers welcome guests to come taste their fresh picked sweetness at these wonderful roadside farm stands. Unless otherwise indicated, farm stand locations are in Fresno/Clovis.
